This year is the 25th anniversary of ACE Geosynthetics. As the global epidemic situation gradually eases, GeoAsia 7 was successfully held in Taiwan, where ACE Geosynthetics operates. We hope that more people can have a more direct and complete understanding of ACE Geosynthetics through this seminar and exhibition.

At the grand opening ceremony of GeoAsia 7, it's a great honor for our general manager, Amie Wang cuts the ribbon on the opening of GeoAsia 7. She addresses and wishes the event success on behalf of ACE Geosynthetics. Even if the covid-19 breaks the order and attacks the world, these will go through, and we will reunite! After two months of preparation, the booth of ACE Geosynthetics is ready. With videos, physical models, touch panels, and Mixed Reality (MR), we demonstrate geosynthetics applications and explain how geosynthetics contribute to environmental sustainability and net zero emissions, as well as the specific actions of ACE. In addition, the rich achievements in winning awards and the high level of persistence in quality are also what we believe to be an indispensable part of getting to know ACE. What is gratifying is that this booth successfully becomes the focus of the audience, attracting many visitors to stop and interact with us, and receiving a lot of recognition and praise.

In the seminar, we successfully completed the publication of the two articles, which were highly affirmed. And ACE won in the case competition-ACEGrid® Reinforced Earth Containment Structure for Abutment Seismic Protection in Taiwan. ACE will represent Asia to participate in the final competition at the 12th ICG in Rome. Just like the name of ACE, our professional excellence has been proved in this event. Also, we won third place in the IGS Young Members Photo Contest. 

Starting from a material manufacturer, ACE not only continues to strengthen product R&D and quality, but also develops diversified and professional technical services, and establishes its international certification laboratory. We actively promote it in this era of net zero and provide solutions that are reliable and contribute to significant carbon reductions. Sincerely hope that more companies can feel our passion and efforts, and we could have further cooperation on geosynthetics to make the world better!

Use Geotextile Mattress (ACEFormer™) to Protect Severely Eroded Riverbank

Irrawaddy River is the largest and most vital commercial waterway in Myanmar where many villages live along its stream; however, the same villages are threatened by inundations every year’s rainy season.
 
Obstacles are as followed:
1. A steep and long (about 30 m) riverbank slope needed protection from intensive erosion.
2. Erosion holes existed on the curved section of the riverbank.
3. The river’s deep-water level and strong currents increased construction difficulty.
4. The construction period was limited to three months and the budget was tight.
 
The ACEFormer™ filled with cement mortar enhances the overall structure’s stability and erosion control. From design to installation, our team is concerned with every single step. The ACEFormer™ still stands and remains intact after several rainy seasons upon the project completion.
