The INTERPRAEVENT 2023 International Symposium recently took place in Taichung, Taiwan, attracting over 200 professionals and experts from 16 different countries, including representatives from ACE Geosynthetics. The focus of the symposium was on addressing the challenges related to predicting and mitigating natural disasters in mountainous regions, which have become more prevalent due to the effects of climate change and global warming.
 
The event offered a valuable platform for experts and scholars to share their ideas, experiences, and research on a range of topics, including field investigation, occurrence monitoring, mitigation strategies, risk analysis, engineering governance, resilient communities, and ecological restoration. Attendees were able to learn from one another and gain valuable insights into effective solutions for mitigating natural disasters in mountainous regions.

Following the symposium, attendees had the opportunity to visit the Dongshi Sijiaolin Creek Restoration site to witness the application of soil and water conservation and ecological engineering methods. This rehabilitation project utilized geosynthetic materials supplied by ACE Geosynthetics and resulted in impressive ecological recovery. The area was even surrounded by fireflies in the evening, showcasing the success of the project.

In addition, they especially visited the ACE Geosynthetics Ecopark, which spans over 10,000 square meters and showcases six major themes related to disaster prevention, ecology, landscape, low carbon, green energy, and water resources. With its 10 picturesque landscapes and 26 green engineering techniques, this park is the first full-scale physical green engineering demonstration park in Asia!
