ACE products can play various roles in railway application. For instance, ACETex^® can separate ballast and subgrade to decrease upward pumping of subgrade fine aggregate which may pollute the ballast and lower its bearing capacity. ACEGrid^® or ACETex^® can help decrease the occurrence of ballast sinking into soft subgrade. Moreover, ACEDrain^® can be used to improve the drainage of subbase and above mentioned situations.

High tensile strength ACEGrid^® and ACETex^® or ACECell^® with confinement ability can be used in unstable subgrade to increase its bearing capacity.
