ACEGrid^® BG is constructed by high strength PET yarns with characteristic of low elongation, low creep, high tensile strength and so on. The main applications would be reinforcement of road paving structure, such as runway, highway and traffic way, as asphalt concrete reinforcing material to reduce the reflection cracking caused by the loading of vehicles and temperature differences. ACEGrid^® BG is also composited with nonwoven geotextile and coated with bitumen to increase the bond strength between two layers of asphalt concrete.

Applying ACEGrid^® BG in road paving project could reduce thickness of asphalt concrete and reduce reflection cracking caused by long term usage. For overlay project on existing roads, it reduces pavement cracks and increase service life of roadway. ACEGrid^® BG can be applied for following projects,
